Trademarks

sermorelinreport is an independent publication. It records what sermorelin sellers charge and what they publish about it, and because it writes about real companies it uses their real names. This page says who owns the names that appear here, why they appear, and what none of it means.
The short version
Product names, company names, brand names and logos on this site are the property of their respective owners. They are used here for identification and comparison — to say which company published which price — and their use does not imply any relationship between that owner and this site.
sermorelinreport is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any company named on this site, nor by any pharmaceutical manufacturer, compounding pharmacy or telehealth company mentioned anywhere on it. We are not any of them, we do not speak for any of them, and none of them reviews or approves what is published here. Several of them would probably rather we did not publish what we publish.
Drug names on this site
There is very little to list, and that is a fact about this subject rather than an omission. Almost every substance named on this site is named by its chemical name, which is not a trademark and belongs to nobody: sermorelin itself, the other peptides some of these sellers bundle with it, and the weight-loss drugs a few of them also sell.
The one proprietary drug name that appears is GEREF, which belongs to its owner and appears here only to say what the regulatory record contains. It was the brand the two US sermorelin applications were approved under; EMD Serono told the FDA it was discontinuing them, their approvals were withdrawn at the holder’s request, and a later Federal Register notice determined the withdrawal was not for reasons of safety or effectiveness. That history is set out, with the documents, on the page about what sermorelin is. Nothing on this site is that product, and nothing here is sold or endorsed by its owner.
Seller and program names
The sellers on this roster own their own names and logos. Being listed here is not a license anyone granted us and it is not an arrangement anyone agreed to: it is coverage, and it applies in exactly the same way to companies that pay us and companies that pay us nothing. No seller sees a page before it is published, and no seller can ask to be removed from a board it qualifies for.
We do not reproduce that list here, because a hand-kept copy of it would be wrong the first time the roster changed. The seller index is the live list, and each entry names the company it is about.
What that actually means
We are not the manufacturer. Nothing on this site is made, compounded, sold, shipped, prescribed or dispensed by us. We hold no inventory and fill no orders. When a page names a product, we are describing somebody else’s.
We are not the seller. Every company on the roster is a separate business we write about from the outside. Some pay us a commission when a reader signs up, which is disclosed on the row it applies to and on every button it applies to; none of them has any editorial control here.
We use these names to identify, not to trade on them. You cannot say which company charges what without naming the company, and you cannot describe a regulatory record without naming the product in it. That is the whole of our use.
Nobody has endorsed what we publish. No manufacturer, pharmacy, telehealth company or regulator has reviewed, approved or endorsed anything on this site. Our scores and our boards are our own reading of what each company published.
A review is our reading, not the company’s. A disclosure score measures what a seller puts in visible text about its own pricing. It is not the seller’s claim about itself, and a seller that scores badly here has not said anything about itself that we are repeating.
Chemical names and brand names are not the same thing
A drug usually has a chemical name and, if somebody has brought it to market under one, a brand name. The chemical name identifies the molecule and is not a trademark. The brand name is a trademark owned by whoever holds it. The two are not interchangeable, and on this subject the distinction does real work:
- Sermorelin is the chemical name of a substance. It is not a brand of ours and not a brand of anyone else’s. Anyone may call the molecule by it.
- GEREF was a brand under which that molecule was approved and marketed in the United States. It is somebody’s mark, and none of the products on this roster is it.
So when a seller here advertises sermorelin, it is naming a molecule, not claiming a brand. When this site writes about GEREF, it is describing a regulatory record, not a product anyone can buy today.
Compounded products and the names on them
What these sellers offer is compounded, prepared by a pharmacy rather than made under an approved application. Where a seller names the pharmacy that prepares its product, we record that name because the seller published it; the pharmacy’s name is the pharmacy’s, and recording it is not a statement that the pharmacy has any relationship with us or has agreed to anything.
A compounded product is not the approved product whose chemical name it shares, and naming the molecule on this site never asserts that it is. What that means for a reader is set out on the medical disclaimer.
Where money is, and what it is not
Some companies on this roster pay us an affiliate commission and many pay us nothing. A commission is not an affiliation, an endorsement or a sponsorship, and it does not make this site part of that company or that company part of this site. It buys no right to use our name and grants us no right to use theirs beyond the identification described above, and it is true of the companies that pay us and the companies that do not alike. What paying does and does not change is set out on the disclosure page.
Our own name
“sermorelinreport” and the mark in the masthead are ours. Nothing on this page licenses anyone else’s marks to you, and nothing on it licenses ours. Quoting a short passage with a link back is welcome; republishing our boards or our figures wholesale, or reproducing them as an image without attribution, is covered by our terms and is not permitted.
If a mark is used wrongly here
We will correct it, and we would rather fix it than argue about it. Write to editor@sermorelinreport.com and tell us which name, on which page, and what is wrong about the way it is used. If you own the mark, say so and say what you would like changed. The corrections page sets out what counts as a correction and how one is recorded.
